Anyone, be it the person requiring help, a relative, carer can get in touch with us directly for advice or for help. Our advice and time is given freely and costs you nothing.
If you are a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, health visitor, practice nurse or anyone who sees a patient or client in our area who might benefit from our help please get in touch with us.
Once you have contacted us a referral is produced. This is a very simple form that outlines the details of the request. This is passed to our case secretary who allocates an engineer(s) to the case. They will then contact you to arrange a visit along with a health professional, if applicable.
Our panel meets monthly where referrals are discussed. It contains health professionals which ensures that the solutions proposed conform with good medical practice. All referrals are treated in confidentiality.
Still worried about the cost?. If we are making a solution from scratch, the answer is nothing – though donations are always appreciated. If we are modifying a commercially available product, the client would be expected to provide that to us.
Remember – we undertake projects to solve problems where no commercially available device exists or is suitable for the job. Please don’t be put off by this, we don’t expect you to be an expert in this area – if you have any doubt about the suitability of a project please get in touch.
